• Harass, abuse, or attempt to deceive other players or staff.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including for fair-play violations such as engine assistance.

3. Ratings and games

Ratings, game history, and statistics are provided for informational purposes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of matchmaking, live games, or any other feature, though we work to keep the Service reliable.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Certain features (e.g. paid tournament entry or premium subscriptions) may require payment through a third-party payment processor. Prices, refund eligibility, and billing terms for any paid feature will be presented at the time of purchase and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use it as necessary to operate and display the Service (e.g. showing your username and rating to opponents).

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms or applicable law.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GameOfChess is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
