Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India)

1. Roles

Under the DPDP Act, GameOfChess acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in our Privacy Policy, and you are the Data Principal.

2. Consent and purpose limitation

We process your personal data only for the purposes you've consented to by creating an account and using the Service — operating gameplay features, sending account-related communications, processing payments, and preventing abuse — as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

3. Your rights as a Data Principal

• The right to access a summary of your personal data and how it is processed.
• The right to request correction or completion of your personal data.
• The right to request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• The right to grievance redressal, and to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

4. Data breach notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will take steps to notify affected users and the relevant authority as required under the DPDP Act.
